Day 1
You’ll be shuttled from the Flagstaff Airport to your home base for the week where appetizers and a light run will help you shake the travel out of your legs. Easy miles in the thin mountain air will build your appetite for a hot, home-cooked dinner with the runners you will form bonds with over the next five days. Post-dinner introductory games of laughter and ice breakers will help of course, and the itinerary for the week will be covered in case there are any questions. Next up, a good night of sleep to prepare for the adventures ahead!

Day 2
Today we’re heading even higher in elevation, finding ourselves up in the mountains, running beneath the fabled Aspens with their full summer greenery and snowy white trunks. After we’ve finished running and the obligatory Instagram pictures have been snapped, we’ll head home for a hearty lunch and a quick nap. Then it’s off to Walnut Canyon, one of Flagstaff’s premier National Parks where we’ll hike around a breathtaking vista of hillside dwellings where the ancient Sinagua people made their home almost 1,000 years ago. After dinner we'll have a special guest speaker before rounding out our day with a trip to a local brewery or you can check out the historic downtown.
Day 3
Today is the day! We’ll be visiting the Grand Canyon, an experience we will enjoy with an early morning run along the rim, watching the red and purple layers of earth shift in the sun all the way down to the turquoise ribbon of the Colorado River far below. Such a picturesque vista must be enjoyed with a post-run picnic lunch and when our stomachs and sense of wonder are full and happy, we will head home for a fun-filled afternoon of games and competitions (Pick a clever name for your Cornhole team now!). After dinner we will have a guest speaker, and this will be the night you will probably laugh hardest because it will be filled with lots of games and talking, including a baby food taste test!

Day 4
This morning we’ll take to the beautiful Campbell Mesa trail system. Gorgeous single-track trails weave beneath tall pines over a unique desert floor in loops that guide you through this sun-drenched forest unique to Flagstaff, alone. We'll have a post run talk from a guest speaker, then mid-afternoon we will drive down through the densely forested Oak Creek Canyon to the stunning town of Sedona, with its curious red rock formations and eclectic little shops. We’ll enjoy a meal out in town and then a short hike will take us to a panoramic view of Sedona to catch a spectacular Arizona sunset!

Day 5
We’ll round out our Northern Arizona runs with a “no watch allowed” 2-mile prediction run at Buffalo Park, a trail loop on a mesa tucked in the shadow of Arizona’s tallest peak, Mt. Humphreys. Don't worry, this isn't a race, but a chance to see how good you are at pacing yourself. A prize will be awarded to the finisher closest to their predicted time and after that, a farewell breakfast will fuel you up before travel. Today we say goodbye to our epic Northern Arizona adventure, but we also celebrate the memories made and the brand new friendships that are sure to last a lifetime!
